You can search in our Members listings by company name or business type to find a builder or supplier. Builder members must meet strict admission criteria involving experience, credit worthiness, and customer satisfaction before membership is granted. All builder members are required to be licensed as a Single Family Home Builder or Commercial Contractor by the Arkansas Contractor’s Licensing Board.
About Our Executive Director
Our Executive Director is Dave Hughes. He has been with the Greater Fort Smith Association of Home Builders since 1986. Prior to joining the association, he was a veteran broadcasting executive.
A native of Fort Smith, Mr. Hughes serves the Association as its chief operating officer as well as representing the membership in all governmental and legislative affairs dealing with the home building industry. In addition to these jobs, he is responsible for producing the annual Home Show, organizing the Parade of Homes, and serving as comptroller for the annual Showcase Home.
He is available during customary office hours to field questions from the public and the media regarding home building questions and issues. His office also will provide those looking to build a home a list of professional builders. You may request the current list by e-mail, fax, or phone.
