You can search in our Members listings by company name or business type to find a builder or supplier. Builder members must meet strict admission criteria involving experience, credit worthiness, and customer satisfaction before membership is granted. All builder members are required to be licensed as a Single Family Home Builder or Commercial Contractor by the Arkansas Contractor’s Licensing Board.

The May membership meeting brought out a large crowd to hear Dr. Kermit W. Kuehn, Director, Center for Business Research and Economic Development for the University of Arkansas, Ft. Smith. Kuehn's program gave those attending a look ahead based on real economic data and trends. The next Home Builder's meeting is scheduled for noon, Thursday, June 7th.

The Greater Fort Smith Association of Home Builders was established in 1955 as a local organization to promote housing. We became affiliated with the National Association of Home Builders a few years later, then became part of the Arkansas Home Builders Association when it was established in the 1970's. Today the Association is proud to have over 200 local firms on the membership roll.

Our Associate Membership roster is extensive and covers a wide range of products and services required to build or remodel. From manufacturing, to financing, plan design, energy saving products, decorating, flooring, roofing, and so much more. Again, you may look up companies by name or search the various categories of business types. These members also agree to abide by our Code of Ethics in dealing with their customers.
